Position Overview
Woodtone is seeking a person who is experienced working within the residential and multi-family development community in BC and Alberta. The ideal individual is highly motivated, self-disciplined and has a track record of sales success. As part of a winning team, this position is responsible for growing Woodtone’s business by engaging and developing exceptional strategic relationships with core stakeholders, including builders, developers, installers, architects, and supply channel partners.
This role is supported by an industry leading support staff and a leadership team that is committed to growth and innovation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities and execute on strategic sales activities within the building community to achieve sales success.
- Develop exceptional relationships with core stakeholders including builders, developers, installers, architects, and supply channel partners.
- Create strategic business plans and partnerships to ensure sustainable long-term business relations all markets.
- Increase brand awareness of all Woodtone products.
- Communicate effectively with upper management and production to ensure sales objectives are achieved.
- Analyze sales information / data to better understand and improve the success of sales initiatives.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- 5+ years relevant sales experience is required
- 5+ years’ experience within the building product industry (siding, trim, lumber, fiber cement)
- 5+ years’ experience working with industry stakeholders (distributors, retailers, architects, installers, contractors, builders etc.)
- Must have valid driver’s license & personal vehicle
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Competitive, driven and motivated sales professional.
- Self-starter and self-disciplined
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build positive relationships with peers and customers.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of general sales systems, processes, and administrative duties.
- Team player, with positive, can-do attitude
- Willingness to learn and continually improve
- Well-developed, cross-platform communication skills
- Experience in using a CRM tool is an asset
- Proficient in MS Office – Excel, Word, Outlook
