We are seeking an experienced and safety focused operator to drive a 15K forklift to load, unload and store lumber & building materials. The average employee has 8 years at Woodtone, and we want people who are interested in staying and growing with us!

• $23.00 – $25.00/hr with increases after 3 and 12 months

Responsibilities:

• Operate forklift with foot and hand controls.
• Safely load and unload lumber and building materials (raw and finished) into storage locations.
• Keep working area 6S compliant
• Use forklift to build outgoing orders for lumber and building materials.
• Use forklift to load completed orders onto delivery equipment maintaining safe procedures and stacking methods.
• Maintain quality standards in regard to securing loose wrapping and sorting of damaged material.
• Operate bander and other facility equipment as necessary.
• Follow safety procedures as outlined by the company safety program and operator manual for forklift.

Required Skills:

• Forklift certified and safety oriented
• Product knowledge of lumber and engineered building materials is a plus.
• Work is outside in working conditions that vary depending on seasons. Temperature variations and inclement weather are real aspects of the work environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance
• Able to spend long amounts of time sitting & stooping
• Experience loading/unloading flatbed trailers is a plus!!
• Team first attitude; strong interpersonal skills
• Reliability in attendance and punctuality

Required Experience:

• 2+ years’ experience in HEAVY forklift operation required
• 1 year of handling finished building materials or operating in a manufacturing facility/environment
